This page explains the data FridgeFox needs for its product features and the optional analytics choices available to visitors and account holders.
What the app can process
FridgeFox processes account details, pantry ingredients, optional dates and quantities, scan uploads, household membership, billing identifiers, and support messages when needed to provide the feature a person requests.
How the product uses that data
Data is used to authenticate accounts, maintain pantry and household state, process scans and recipe matches, enforce plan limits, process billing, secure the service, and respond to support requests.
Choices and deletion
Account holders can request support, manage billing through the Stripe customer portal, and permanently delete an account and its pantry through Settings. Security and transaction records may be retained where the service must preserve fraud-prevention, billing, or legal records.
Optional analytics and consent
FridgeFox can load Google Analytics 4, directly or through Google Tag Manager when configured, only after analytics consent. Before a choice, analytics and advertising storage are denied. Rejecting analytics does not block authentication, scans, pantry features, recipes, or billing.
Analytics events use broad categories and buckets. They do not contain names, email addresses, phone numbers, uploaded photos, image URLs, filenames, private ingredient names, pantry search terms, free-form answers, allergy or dietary text, authentication tokens, Stripe customer IDs, payment data, or full error messages. Advertising storage and personalization remain denied.
You can accept, reject, or change this choice at any time through “Privacy settings” in the site footer. The choice is stored in the browser so the site can remember it.
Providers and security
FridgeFox uses configured hosting and database infrastructure, Stripe for subscription billing, Google authentication when enabled, and an AI provider for requested scan and recipe processing. Server secrets remain outside browser bundles, and signed billing webhooks control paid access.
