PANTRY RECIPE APP
Recipe generator from ingredients you already have
FridgeFox compares your reviewed pantry with a built-in recipe collection and ranks practical matches. Each recipe shows a match percentage, ingredients you already have, and ingredients still missing. That transparency helps you choose what to cook without claiming an unlimited recipe library, automatic meal plan, grocery list, or medical dietary enforcement.

How does ingredient-based recipe matching work?
The matcher normalizes pantry ingredient names, compares them with each built-in recipe, and calculates how much of the ingredient list is already available. Recipe cards distinguish have and missing lists so the percentage can be checked rather than trusted blindly.
Update the pantry after cooking and correct broad scan labels when they prevent a useful match. Better pantry data produces more relevant rankings.
What should you check before choosing a recipe?
Open the full method, check quantities and equipment, and decide whether any substitution is appropriate. A high match score does not account for every preference, allergy, dietary requirement, or package state.
FridgeFox currently matches a curated built-in collection and can request additional AI suggestions in the private scan flow. It does not promise the breadth of a dedicated recipe search engine.
When is a pantry recipe app most useful?
Use it when the starting point is food already at home: a few vegetables that need attention, staples left after a shopping change, or a nearly complete recipe missing one ingredient.
If your primary need is a seven-day automated meal plan or a comprehensive recipe social network, a different product may be a better fit.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions before you choose
Can I find recipes using only what I have?
FridgeFox ranks close matches and clearly shows both available and missing ingredients. Some recipes may still require items you do not have.
Does FridgeFox generate a weekly meal plan?
No. It focuses on individual pantry-aware recipe decisions.
How is the match percentage calculated?
It compares the recipe ingredient list with normalized ingredients in your saved pantry. It is a coverage signal, not a guarantee that the recipe suits every need.
